DOE (Diffractive Optical Element) lens is an optical element that uses the "diffraction phenomenon" of light to shape and split a laser beam into any shape. By applying a minute step structure on the nanometer scale to the lens surface, the phase of the light passing through can be precisely controlled.
While a normal refractive lens focuses light to a single point, the greatest feature of a DOE is that it can simultaneously create complex patterns such as grid-like dot clouds, straight lines, circles, crosses, and specific logos and shapes without distortion using a single laser.
SEAN & STEPHEN is using the characteristics of DOE to develop a solution for safety during night travel.
Unfortunately, it does not appear to be commercially available, but CarracK trading hopes to bring this type of laser technology to market.
